Snappy Toddler Dress *Free Pattern*

Another toddler based post for you this week! I found this lovely little FREE dress pattern via pinterest, over on Prudent Baby blog – it’s an awesome blog with loads of great projects, and it is firmly bookmarked on my laptop!

I decided to run up this cute and straightforward dress, using a remnant of red cotton drill, and some vintage denim style jersey. I trimmed the hem and armholes with this blue stripy bias binding, and dug out some sweet little vintage buttons, rather than use snaps as suggested in the blog. Apart from me being an idiot and screwing up the pockets…again…I think it looks pretty damn cute, plus it is perfect worn with a long sleeve top underneath to accomodate the ever changing British weather! (I am not an uncaring mother I may add, the reason she has boots but no socks on in the last picture is due to a no nappy/potty training/car journey incident prior to the photos. Lucky the weather was warm and she likes running around with no kecks on…)

Thanks for sharing 🙂 It looks like a versatile pattern, fabric choice could make it winter or summer. I do so like that in a pattern!

This is really cute! She seems to like those pockets!

Any idea what the pattern # is? Or what the measurements would be for a 3T?

  4. Oh! it’s nice match and weather suited dress. No doubt- this is a result of best thought. Isn’t it?
