Fabric shopping in sunny Brum!

Did I mention the fabric shopping spree I undertook recently? As I live in Birmingham UK there is a wealth of shops and stalls to choose from – mostly in the Bullring and eponymous Rag Market, but also some great warehouses and shops too. I’ve been shopping in places like Fancy Silks and Barry’s for as long as I can remember, and have bought everything from mermaid fabric to my wedding dress silk!
I negotiated a child free Saturday morning and planned my itinerary!
Among the stalls there are some serious bargains to be had, with a fair few £1 per metre places and a brilliant jersey remnant stall. As long as you sharpen your elbows a bit and don’t mind rummaging and sifting through the shiny polyesters, you can score some gems! Here’s my haul – all 2 and 3 metre pieces and the whole lot was less than £30!!
You have picked up some gorgeous prints! I am looking forward to seeing your creations!
Some lovely things there. I love the Rag Market for fabric 😀
looks like an awesome collection of stuff that I am sure will be used immediately! LOL! I really like what you picked out. I wish they had markets like that here in Cleveland Ohio!
